Oversee facility training development and schedule training being conducted, including periodic competency checks, for 100+ employees. Develop, maintain, and conduct a comprehensive new hire training program, including classroom and practical modules (that also work well for (re)training existing employees), centered foremost around introduction to the glass industry and the necessary production processes for timely completion of quality orders consistently. Work with facility leadership to capture, document, and standardize all existing and new production processes, pre- and post-shift inspection reports, and machinery PM development and scheduling. Create and facilitate the necessary trainings around these accordingly, based on KPI performance/metrics feedback, in order to support all employees having the tools needed to be successful. I took the job as an exploration in a creative endeavor as work in order to measure the difference in personal fulfillment for me when all was said and done. While I enjoyed the work and staff very much, and while I found the creative aspect fun and fulfilling, the demands of the job weren't enough and weren't complicated enough to leave me feeling appropriate challenged, which was an important realization for me to be granted.
