I was lucky enough to work with David during his ICT restructure, as he implemented new systems into the business and as he built the culture and engagement of his team. I have always found David to be a strong leader with a clear vision for the operation and performance of the ICT function. As a change leader he was actively engaged in all aspects of the planning, owning outcomes and empowering individuals. David's openness combined with his sense of humour and genuine care for his team, resulted in the organisations highest engagement results. I really enjoyed working with David and would highly recommend him as leader who can drive change and build engagement.

David Tovey

I have thoroughly enjoyed working with David over the past year or so. David is a highly engaging, values driven leader, deeply respected by his team and the people who work with him. He has built and sustained a highly skilled, engaged team in what can be a challenging operating environment. David successfully translates strategy into pragmatic plans to deliver commercial business outcomes. David is a critical thinker, applying his experience to business issues far broader than his field of expertise. I have found David to engage constructively and provide input and insight across many different areas of the business. I would have no hesitation in recommending David to a future employer.

Brought in on a fixed term contract to setup everything in the IT space for this new government authority, whose role is to manage $3.8billion of infrastructure. WaterSecure, or the Queensland Manufactured Water Authority, is a brand new entity at just over 12 months old and is a true green-field operation, looking to advance rapidly up the maturity scale. To that end it required a full whoa-to-go IT strategy, recruit the IT team, define the enterprise architecture and setup multiple vendor relationships. Show less
