NET, XML and SQL Server 2008 Team Size : 8 Members Brief: MGNREGS (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme) National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, in short NREGA, has been passed by the Indian Parliament in the year 2005. The NREGA bill essentially guarantees employment for the unemployed in rural areas for 100 days in a year, through work such as building roads, improving water supply and works that are necessary to improve infrastructure in rural areas. The uniqueness of this bill is in the fact that it carries emphasis on issues like equality of wages for men and women, elimination of work contracting/middlemen, payment of wages only through bank and post office accounts to prevent corruption, creating transparency in workers muster rolls etc. Any individual, irrespective of his socio-economic status can ask for employment (either in writing or verbally) with the Gram Panchayat. The act guarantees that if work is not provided within a 15 day time frame (including the eligibility verification and issuing of the job cards) then the applicant is eligible for unemployment allowance.

      Ngage (Sasken Internal) Client : HR IS(Sasken Communication Technologies Ltd) DESCRIPTION: - Ngage: The Project is being used in sasken for internal work handling associated with all the recruitment process taking place in sasken. Our major client is recruitment team of HR department. Through Ngage portal manager/bid manager can raise a request for demand/Indent(Position). Ngage portal is also helping in to automate hiring process and employees can refer candidate also and see the status of referred candidate . It’s an automated system used by the HR department of sasken from the start till the end i.e from screening of resumes to interview scheduling and finally selection of Candidate. It Covers various process like creation of position/opening in various deparments, approval by higher authorities for positions created by managers,Screening of candidates by the HR team, shortlisting of candidates. Scheduling of interviews and a notification mail trigger on scheduling of interview to the hiring manager/interview comittee. Also used to keep track of the status of candidates and post offer follow-up steps are also stored in the project. Career Portal (India and US) Client : HR IS(Sasken Communication Technologies Ltd) Career Portal: I was an active member of a team of two working on career portal for candidates to create profile and upload resume to apply to the various openings in sasken. In this project I am handling from registration process to the joining process and pushing the data of the joining candidates into SAP server for various records of candidate. We are using SAP also for managing employee related activities. This project deals with the registration of various candidates intrested in the organisation and helps the HR recruiter to screen candidates according to their roles and competencies. Also it keeps the candidates posted on the status of their resumes.
