Wow, Steve does a great job at whatever he puts his hand to! His dedication, love of God and discernment is right on.
John Erwin
Steve was the senior pastor at Foundation United Methodist Church at Lakewood from the time that I joined the church 10 or so years ago until 3 years ago when he and his family moved to Ghana, West Africa on a very special mission/assignment. I have found Steve to be an excellent leader and teacher. He helped me immensely in my spiritual growth and I also had the pleasure to work closely with him at the Church through my role on the Staff/Parish Relations Committee. He is committed to helping the people around him learn the spiritual gifts instilled in us through the Holy Spirit by our maker and to learn to have the kind of earthly life that God has intended for us. I found him to be an excellent communicator in both the written and spoken word as well as through his professional talents with music. Steve's far ranging and various experiences in multiple arenas in his life have given him a wide breadth of knowledge and a very unique outlook that is extremely refreshing. I am also happy to call him friend. Although we have not had as much time to see each other since his return to Africa, I greatly look forward to reading his blogs and enjoy our phone conversations immensely. Steve has recently let me know that he is applying for a job as youth pastor. I recommend him highly and without reservations. He will be inspiring to his young charges and they will enjoy learning the practical application to the Word of God to their lives from his ministry- just as my family and I have. Respectfully- John P. Erwin, III, MD, FACC Texas A&M College of Medicine Scott and White Heart and Vascular Institute Past Lay Leader and SPRC Member, Foundation United Methodist Church at Lakewood
