• Facilitated the start-up of a pilot program within the department in conjunction with a local university with the hopes to impact future behavior and lower recidivism rates for a small demographic of our incarcerated population. Activities included onboarding and providing security training for PhD students involved with program, helping select participants for program and working with a team to write program policies and guidelines. • Review all incident reports from 14 state prisons on a daily basis for consistency and accuracy in reporting practices.• Created a training for employees responsible for writing incident reports including an interactive tool that measures curriculum retention and reinforces lessons taught in training. • Statistical compilation (weekly, monthly and quarterly) to aid executive staff in assurance of department-wide security compliance and to identify new security threat trends before they arise.
