The Association of Diversity in Sport (ADS) is an organization that embraces students of diverse backgrounds seeking to further their professional and personal development within a sport-oriented environment. As the Director of Community Service for ADS, I am responsible for coordinating all community service projects. I act as an event coordinator by seeking potential philanthropic partnerships and organize groups of 10+ members to attend each event. Recently, I have helped provide soup kitchen volunteers for the local Not Bread Alone Soup Kitchen, event support for The Hartford Marathon Foundation’s Half Marathon in Amherst, MA, and organized a fundraiser to support the people of Puerto Rico in their recovery from Hurricane Maria.
