I was a solicitor with McCusker McElroy & Gallanagh since joining them in 2010. I practiced in all aspects of criminal law. I conducted court work daily in all forums of Scotland's criminal justice system. I made thousands of court appearances in my time with the firm.I conducted numerous trials, proofs, evidential hearings and debates at both summary and solemn levels. I covered a broad range of areas from serious assault, drug supply and sexual offences to health and safety regulatory defence, road traffic defence and large-scale financial crime.I have particular expertise in Proceeds of Crime matters and dealt with all cases of this nature for MMG. I also managed their specialist road traffic practice through their dedicated website roadlaw.co.uk. I instructed counsel and prepared the defence case in many High Court prosecutions and appeals. In particular, I prepared the defence in notable high court acquittals for concern in the supply of controlled drugs and attempted murder. I instructed counsel in the preparation and conduct of the trial at first instance and subsequent appeal that led to the 2013 full bench decision on the Moorov Doctrine in the case of MR v HMA. In addition to legal work, I am skilled in the use of various computer programmes including Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. I was responsible for the design and production of both of the McCusker McElroy & Gallanagh websites - www.mccuskerlaw.co.uk & www.roadlaw.co.ukI was responsible for the day to day running and maintenance of these websites. I also designed and spearheaded production of all advertising and marketing materials for McCusker McElroy & Gallanagh and Roadlaw.co.uk.
