  • Aided in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the Bank’s staff output performance by updating/creating, documenting and get approved the bank’s processes manuals for various departments (customer service, sales, credit, and accounting) of the bank. • Develop and coordinated technical training and implementation/support to the Bank’s staff (this included traveling to the branches) in order to be par with the Bank’s processes manuals. • Monitor the banks performance and progress by producing weekly, bimonthly, monthly, quarterly and end of year reports (sales, credit/loan, customer service survey, debit and credit cards,) for staff and senior management. For staff, these reports assisted them in measuring their efficiency and performance in a given period whilst for senior management, these reports aided in tracking the Bank’s progress and making informed decisions in order to fulfill the Bank’s targets. • Due to my extensive knowledge of information technology, I was temporarily relocated for two months to the Bank’s Management Information System (MIS) Department. Facilitated the easy monitoring of the Bank’s computer inventory and Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) cash flow through the creation of databases amongst others. • Formed part of the Bank’s SAP ERP team. I traveled to Tegucigalpa, Honduras for professional training in the usage of the software. My responsibility included to translate the training from Spanish to English and to document the various processes. Upon returning to Belize, I was responsible to prepare and get approved the processes after which I was responsible in training staff throughout the bank to get on board with the SAP. Show less

  • Under the supervision of the natural resource lead specialist in IDB Country Office in Belize and in coordination with the country economist, I assisted and supported the organization and coordination of bank missions (including contracted consultancies) in the context of data gathering; in particular, agricultural price distortions study among others. • Met with officials of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Forestry, and the Environment and traveled across Belize to meet farmers of sixteen agricultural commodities to gather cost of production data. These data were then sent to two consultants from Chile that were preparing a research paper for the IDB that dealt with Belize’s agricultural price distortions. • Assisted and supported the updating/collecting, systematizing, analysis, and interpretation of information related to the economic and social development issues, particularly with respect to sectors under the responsibility of the rural and natural resources division (agriculture, tourism, land and environment). • Gained inside knowledge on the implementation and administration of development projects and programs (loans and grants), such as contract and financial management.
