Masashi is one of the best global Art, Project and Outsource Supervisors in the game industry. I first heard of Masashi when his work was presented by Midway in GDC 2006, as one of the best vendor work examples. Based on that, Sony hired him and he has supervised countless titles’ global production. Masashi is known for his global outsource pipeline development skills, often develop the most technically skillful and efficient distributed game environment production pipelines. He is also one of the rarest Japanese talents that had hands-on and supervising experience on many of the US and European AAA productions. Most recently he championed the use of OS KPI to manage outsource cost overrun and delivered an excellent speech at XDS 2016. This industry leading methodology is now automated into Sony’s proprietary Centralized Outsource Management System, and Masashi is at the center of pushing wider adoption of a KPI driven OS management methodology that help buyers save budget while increase vendor’s profitability. I know very few artists with the dedication and passion that Masashi has for modeling. He is a digital poet on his way to masterhood. I have know Masashi for 2 years and I can happily say that 80% of what I know in high rez modeling I owe to him. my advice is listen and apply what he teaches if you really want to excel in your craft.
