Are you curious about your own memory? Are you or people you know caring for someone with cognitive decline or treating patients with memory loss? SAN’s mission is to educate the public and medical community about preventing and reversing multiple causes of memory loss, dementia, and Alzheimer’s disease, and to advocate for new testing and treatment protocols. We use live presentations, local TV and community events, social outreach, online resources, and a collaborative network of like-minded people and groups to spread our “good news.” Since 2014, SAN has grown through the dedication of our Board, which consists of medical professionals and dedicated lay people, and a larger Mental and Dental Advisory Board. Today, we have reached a “tipping point” and see widespread acceptance of our ideas. A 200% increase in funds raised at a recent gala provides just one example. ROADMAP TO CLARITY We provide guidance for 10 REVERSiBLE CAUSES of Dementia 1. Nutrition – The impact of foods to promote or erode brain health. 2. Inflammation – Implications of short-term vs. long-term inflammatory responses 3. Environmental Toxins – Tips to reduce toxins in your environment 4. Physical, Mental and Social Activity – Ways to stay mentally intact as we age 5. Prescription Medications – Evaluating the impact of current medicine protocol on cognition 6. Prolonged Stress – Ways to manage stress as we age 7. Heavy Metal Toxicity – Assessing the impact of mercury 8. Sleep and Breathing Problems – Looking for Airway/Sleep Disorders 9. Hormonal Imbalances – Checking for low levels of Thyroid and other hormones 10. Physical and Emotional Trauma – Assessing potential impact of traumatic life events We provide guidance to our constituents on selecting the best practitioner for the situation. You or someone you know may be searching for answers to live a healthier, more balanced life, want to improve their diet or deal with digestive issues, or are seeking that voice of truth inside. In all these cases, I can help. With today’s stressful lives, we want to be healthy, but it seems to take a lot of effort. Over the years, people may put on some weight, not exercise as much as they'd like, or perhaps they've developed a health problem. They may have a family and want some ideas about getting their kids to eat healthier foods. After working with me for three or six months, clients begin to have a different relationship with food and their bodies and understand what nourishes them in life and what does not. This awareness is the first step in developing a new relationship with oneself and understanding what one wants and needs in life. From this place, it's easier to realize one’s goals and open up to the possibilities that lie ahead. As a result of my work at SAN, I now also help individuals and families for diet and lifestyle as relates to BRAIN HEALTH. Show less
