      One of my main tasks in Nomad Tech is to continuously research and provide the different teams with the knowledge and innovation that is being studied nationally and internationally. At the same time, I am the Project Manager of several projects, where Ferrovia 4.0 is the most important one. It is a Consortium, with 22 companies, where Nomad Tech is one of the 4 more important companies due to being the leader in one of the Work Packages and being responsible for some of the most critical work of the Project. Another project that I am also managed was NTW-DAS, where the objective was to provide a Connected Driver Advisory System for several trains in the network, in order to decide, as a group, how they handle convergence in some stations (https://www.nomadtech.pt/customer-story/ntw-das/).The work also opens the door for participation in several external workshops and events, but also internally. I'm responsible, with the company SHome, to design the new Technological Pole for CP, and for the innovation of our new offices, both at the Guifões Maintenance Depot. I'm also working on creating/developing the Rail CoLAB, to constantly promote disruptive innovation and products. Externally, I'm a member of the Portuguese Railway Platform's Strategic Council, which defines the future of the Portuguese railways and various points of action.

The objective is to promote the company on social networks, create and plan videos for the various projects that Nomad Tech is currently developing and participating.       In the year 2019, I got invited to become an Invited Professor at the University of Coimbra. In the first year, I was responsible to teach practical classes (2h per week) to Master's Degree students. The main topic was Mobile Computation (i.e., Android). In 2020/2021 and 2021/2022, I was, once again, invited to give the same course, but 4h per week, and a software quality course (Software Quality and Reliability), also to Master's Degree students.I was also invited to be a Professor in a BEST Course, during the summer of 2019. It was a week, where I gave more than 16h of classes to multiple students, from all over Europe (i.e., Spain, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Croatia, etc). In 2020, I replaced a colleague and, during 1 month, I gave Java Enterprise and React classes in a program that the Informatics Department has (called Acertar o Rumo).

      With the tagline "See Amazing in Every Student", the idea is to have a (maker) space inside the department where students, teachers, and researchers can go and improve their skills. Moreover, the idea is to have a place where the imagination and the courses can be combined and continuously being explored.That is why I embraced this challenge with other colleagues, where, with the help of Feedzai and the Department of Informatics Engineering of the University of Coimbra (First Foundation Project), we will create and launch a maker space where everyone is welcomed, with the necessary equipment where the limit is our imagination. As a member of the group, the main objective is to mentor and dynamize the space, with new challenges, events, and other activities.

      With a lack of electronic solutions for small companies, the idea was to bring low-cost but robust solutions for a market niche. Thus, the company born and, during the years, we stand out as the only Portuguese company producing PCBs for railway models. We partnership with most of the Portuguese companies that manufacture models and provide custom solutions for cabin and room lights, front lights, communication buses, among others. The boards are designed and developed with and for SMD components, to ensure the best size for the customer's needs. The company is still working only in Portugal, but there are plans to enter the Spanish market.

      Since I was little that I love trains, and I had an enormous passion to ride and watched them. This passion leads me to enter a competition, in March 2014. The 5 best photographs had the chance to won 5 tickets to participate in the inaugural trip of the Presidential Train to the North of the country. I was third in the overall competition and, with that, I won a ticket to participate in this memorable moment.
