  I offered tailored employability support to students within Salford Business School by building the strongest possible external links with organisations who offer graduate level roles, placements and internships. Drawing upon extensive business development experience I was able to build contacts and promote the range of recruitment opportunities available within Salford Business School and the University of Salford's commitment to developing Industrial Collaboration Zones.I was specifically interested in developing the School's internship and placement offer to all Masters level students via the Business Innovation Project and ensuring we are connecting all our students who seek to undertake an internship as a real-world means of applying their classroom knowledge in their final assessment.I was committed to promoting and assisting students seek relevant work experience from part time jobs, summer internships and undergraduate placements.

• Unite with Business Project Officer

  Managed Salford's delivery on this ERDF funded SME support project which connected over 1,000 businesses in the region to graduate level internship support. - Achieved the targets set for Salford University for projects set up, businesses with improved performance via GVA, jobs created and safeguarded. - Provided full business relationship support from sourcing eligible SME's to meeting and developing a project brief to supporting activities and finally following up and reporting outputs.- Managed a project budget of £800k over a three year period including management of monthly student payment process, forecasting and ensuring the project spent to its profiled budget. - Marketed to SME's, students and graduates using social media, network development and creation of publicity documents.- Worked effectively as a project partner alongside six Universities. Collaborated on bidding activities, process reviews and event management. - Acted as a mentor and support to students whilst they undertook projects with SME's.

• National Project Manager

  - Coordination of national project, promoting engagement and knowledge sharing between HE and industry, with £2million budget. Ensured the Construction Knowledge Exchange (CKE) project delivered against all its objectives throughout its five year lifespan. - Authored two continuation funding bid documents, successfully and summative report that received commendation from HEFCE funders.- Liaised and built successful working relationship with intermediary bodies such as Sector Skills Councils, Foundation Degree Forward, Business Link, RDA's and professional bodies.- Running concurrently with the CKE I was also Project Manager for a EU Leonardo da Vinci project that sought to create a model curriculum for a Masters level programme alongside five other EU partners.- Responsible for the collaborative development of a flexible curriculum model, across a pan European project which resulted in two partner countries adopting the model and a Masters in Construction Management being developed in tandem at Salford- Authored the project's final work package which included a 15,000 word report, recommendations and proposed curriculum model.- Managed large scale qualitative and quantitative data capture, analysis and production of final project report encompassing all partner countries findings.

  Responsible for the executive, financial and events function within a centre, supporting teaching and learning activities across the built environment subject community. - Managed centre income of £1.1million - devolved grant and project income. This included project budget management and working with contractors on service level agreements. - Direct supervisory responsibility for CEBE's full time and ad-hoc admin support. - Introduced a CRM system that managed distribution of materials, event registration and enquires. - National events manager, including annual international conference, workshops and seminars.
