For this role I work as part of a multidisciplinary team at a secure mental health hospital, assisting the treatment and rehabilitation of women placed on an acute ward. As I am located on an acute ward many of the women may be new to mental health services and require specialist care due to their mental state, and the length of time a woman is with us on the ward may vary from a couple of weeks to many months and it is our job to provide personalised care to this individual in the most appropriate way possible. In this role my key responsibilities include;- undertaking service user observations, recording their whereabouts and presentation every hour, half hour or 15 minutes dependent on the individual. I additionally participate in 2:1 or 1:1 observation. - recording incidents and observations in the service users notes which can be included in their care plan and risk assessment files. - build rapport with the patient to establish meaningful, compassionate and appropriate interactions with them to help them feel comfortable on the ward and with staff. I ensure appropriate communication, de-escalation and redirection for patients when necessary. - escorting patients who require escorted section 17 leave. - assisting with personal care including bathing, feeding, and changing the patient.- monitor and record patients fluid intake, eating behaviours, medical backgrounds and interactions.- Daily use of Nourish and RADAR care systems.

I worked as a cocktail bartender and waitress at Bunk between July 2019 and July 2020. Here I took on a role with the responsibility of ensuring customers receive the best service whilst I made their drinks or wait their tables. I had to learn a cocktail spec menu which has been a testament to my work ethic, ensuring I have learnt all the drinks correctly. I also got to utilise my warm and attentive personality through the customer service provided at Bunk, which has been complimented by many customers.

I was contracted as a social media content creator for ACG Limited specifically for the National Diversity Awards 2019. ACG is an amplification service which aims to boost the impressions, interactions and engagements of the event over social media such as getting the event trending nationally and globally. Hired as a freelance copy write I wrote articles during the night to be posted at key intervals to heighten engagement and excel their engagements online. During my experience I became familiar with the processes behind the social media activity, and maximising engagement and amplification for events and became proficient in using Medium to publish the articles. My role specifically was content creator to gather article content for the NDAward twitter account and for the Medium articles. I supported the content lead and coverage lead with additional content.

This title of honorary assistant psychologist is a result of my temporary short-term placement at St Matthews healthcare, Northamptonshire. During my time here I have been able to engage in a number of activities including facilitating psychology and psyched groups for the service users, completing cognitive progression forms, performing outcome measures, discussing clinical judgement with staff and completing ward rounds. Additionally, I have attended CPA meetings with a number of professionals including nurses, psychologists, nurses, co-care coordinators and the service user to discuss 6 month progress plans.
