Bio
Kate Athing
Her work ethic and personality allowed her to be an exceptional student in the classroom and a positive member of the Marymount community. Jacki has above average interpersonal skills and goes the extra mile to foster positive relationships with everyone she works with. I had the pleasure of watching Jacki develop and grow as a leader. She is the definition of a team player and motivates others around her to perform at their best. She has a team first attitude. Jacki lets her actions speak for her. She is thoughtful, logical, and responsible in her decision making. As a student athlete Jacki was required to have top notch time management and communication skills. She was able to balance the demands of her classes, community service, practices, and team commitments. Jacki puts time and effort into all that she does. Her communication skills allow her to be personable, open and clear with others. When faced with adversity or a problem she steps up and does what is needed of her to solve the problem. Jacki possesses great strengths as a leader. She generates new ideas, encourages others and plans for future successes. When she is given a task or a role to fulfill she does it with passion, precision and enthusiasm.

Jacki worked alongside me as a fellow Graphic Designer while at York Wallcoverings. Jacki is a driven designer and a perfectionist in all the right ways. Her conscientious work ethic is reflected in the products and pieces that she produced. She is a dedicated and hard-working employee, that would be an asset to any company. I started working in the RoomMates division of York Wallcoverings shortly after Jacki, and she was a phenomenal example to the entire team of exceptional time management skills, as well as project management. While our senior designer was out on maternity leave, Jacki stepped up and helped me learn the processes. She was always ready to answer any questions. She has an eye for bright and modern design, which aided strongly in the creation of the room sets we used to help display products. Not only, was Jacki an excellent co-worker, but she became a great close friend. This friendship was a result of her ability to work well with a team and the positive attitude that she used to tackle and face any project. Jacki has a special talent for photography, which is a bonus to any team she joins.
