I have been so fortunate to work alongside Palmy throughout her time in the Office of Student Services. As a key member within the Office of Student Diversity & Inclusion, Palmy has played a prominent role in providing positive experiences for BIPOC, international, and other historically marginalized students in our college. I have learned Palmy is someone who has both the ability to imagine new things and the ability to create. It’s these two standout qualities which make Palmy special. The technical skills Palmy utilizes to make sense of complex data only adds to the effectiveness and quality of her work. What I have come to appreciate most about Palmy is the authenticity she brings to her work. It is clear Palmy approaches situations and circumstances from a genuine place of empathy. The experiences of the people, the students, was always something that encouraged the work. I, alongside countless students, are so thankful for that work! As a team member and a team leader, Palmy would be a tremendous asset to any organization.

Palmy worked with me as a graduate student screener and coder on a meta-analysis project. She brought a breadth of statistical experience from her work on other data projects and was always excited to learn more! The component of the project she was assisting with was just for a few months and had a short turnaround. She was mindful of this timeline and had planned how to distribute her time on this project accordingly. There was a single time when another competing demand needed to take priority for Palmy, and she was proactive and communicated the minor delay quickly. As Palmy coded studies, she would reach out with questions and clarifications about the codebook. This practice ensured that our codes were more aligned. Palmy’s knowledge of SPSS and R and her fundamental knowledge of statistics were significant assets to me as we worked together. Working with her makes it clear that she puts great care and consideration into her work.

I collaborated with an immediate team of 5 to optimize 3-5 sets of support policies quarterly for 700+ historically excluded students through community experience data analysis. Throughout my time, I lead students' experience research and program evaluation.Achievements:-Transformed department's needs into actionable research projects/programs and shorten the policy optimization period by 1.5x.- Improved the program response and drop-in rates by 20% by developing survey items and eliminating survey biases for community experience questionnaires.- Created and maintained students' experience database, allowing for more efficient connection within the student population and a better understanding of departments' needs (shortened research length by 50%).- Increased the community engagement rate by 40% within the span of 6 months by analyzing and presenting quantitative/qualitative data and applying result-derived changes to department-wide programs.

      - Evaluated 10 large-scale randomized controlled trials (RCT) for meta-analysis and calculate statistical parameters using R programming. - Examined measurement validity for latent construct and sampling techniques, obtaining highly-qualified studies based on established metrics.- Improved the effectiveness of the coding process by mapping data onto SPSS statistics and manipulating data using Excel.

As a researcher on the patient education team, I collaborated with an immediate team of 3 people to transform business needs into quantitative and qualitative research projects, optimizing campaign engagement, opt-in, and patient in-take rates. I also led quality maintenance for patient education campaigns by performing routine diagnostics on ClickFunnel (Conversion Platform), Mailchimp (Email Marketing), and Twilio (SMS/Phone Marketing). Achievements: - Analyzed descriptive statistics of campaign results obtained via Facebook Ads Analytics and recommended solutions, resulting in a 60% increase in opt-in rates within 21 days. - Conducted usability testing projects, recommended a more equitable survey distribution mode for suburban population, resulting in a 50% increase in new-patient in-take at two suburban medical practices within the span of 8 months. - Developed and evaluate a patient education program, leading to a 40% decrease in no-show rates for two suburban cosmetic clinics.
