  Involved working with staff and volunteers to assist in the upkeep of the reserve through habitat management, infrastructure maintenance and wildlife surveying. Providing a link between visitors, local people and the natural environment was a key aspect, along with taking care of the various animals present in the reserve's farm - which included kune kune pigs, wildfowl, ferrets and horses.
