In 2016, we moved from Singapore to Stanford with our 1-year old Labrador retriever dog Zen. During the summer of 2017, we drove across the United States over nine weeks with Zen, traveling from San Francisco to New York, across New England, and then back to San Francisco. The trip was a wonderful, enriching experience and has now been published on Amazon as a travelogue titled ‘Angel Wings: Paw-prints on Three Continents’. It has been written from the dog’s perspective, with Zen as the narrator. It is a fun, heart-warming, and entertaining read … and you can have a few laughs at our expense! In 2016, I relocated to California to join Stanford University's Distinguished Careers Institute (DCI). While at Stanford, I was inspired by the Designing-Your-Life course, and I became a certified "Design Your Life" Coach. I launched Alt-Lyf on my return to Singapore. We apply design thinking skills to help people who feel stuck in their lives/careers or are at major work-life transition points.
