      This job allowed me to flex my creative flair and write about everything travel and macroeconomic related. My role required me to take a broad range of often complex information and translate it into easy to understand and enjoyable content in line with brand and digital marketing guidelines. Throughout this role I taught myself macroeconomic fundamentals as well as conducted countless hours of research on a sea of topics, many of which I had to relate back to foreign exchange in one way or another, which required high-level abstract thinking and creativity. I began this role six months after a complete website redesign that had resulted in a significant decline in organic traffic and rankings. Since starting, my key achievements include:- Creating and implementing a content strategy for two countries in line with the brand, SEO and broader business needs that accounted for seasonality and emerging content trends. - Driving organic traffic through twice a week 'top stories' commentary on the value of the Aussie Dollar for travellers, as well as forecasting blogs across our currency suite. - Creating a surge in organic growth (our key channel) and doubling organic traffic to our key page (US Dollar). Before starting this role, our ranking for the US Dollar page dropped dramatically as a result of the website redesign. After four months in the role, my content drove the US dollar page to be ranked #1. - Increase in website average transaction value for those customers that read my content in the same session as a purchase.In May 2019, I was lucky enough to continue my role remotely while travelling through Asia, Europe and the USA before settling in Toronto, Canada. From May 19 to March 20, I continued to work with the marketing team and broader TMG business to exceed content goals and develop new content offerings that would continue to engage our customers online and in-store.
