Kristi Mitchell
I have had the sincere pleasure of overseeing Rootwa's work on numerous projects over the past year. She has a keen sense of design and is very creative. She's not afraid to take risks and try new things. She's a joy to work with because she will take direction and also provide new ideas or ways to look a project. Rootwa never gets frustrated with numerous edits or if I ask her to rework something that was already done. She's friendly, easy-going and a great addition to any work environment. Rootwa is extremely talented and I'm dreading the day that she will no longer be working with us!

Rootwa was a member of a team of two graduate students at RIT who designed the concept for the "skin" or exterior appearance of the shuttle system for RIT students who live at RIT residences. This consisted of three different sizes of buses. We launched the new shuttle system in August 2015 and have received absolutely fantastic reviews and comments about the design. Many have called the buses fabulous, great, modern, and very eye-catching! She did a great job with this concept. Modern and timeless.

On the UI front, I designed detailed UI mockups and documented the UI requirements to ease the communication with the development team. I launched a library of templatized visual resources to develop consistency in visual voice of the team.
