To Whom It May Concern: I am writing this letter of recommendation on behalf of Meg Boland. Meg is an exceptional educator with a wide variety of skills. These include skills in all phases of Special Education including evaluation and eligibility determination, IEP development, and providing individualized services to students. Meg also has held positions as Professional Learning Specialist providing support to our Special Education department as a member of our Building Leadership Team as well as supporting induction and mentoring of new Special Education team members. Additionally, Meg and I have collaborated on a number of projects large and small over the past several years and I believe these could not have been completed without her education knowledge and technical expertise. One of these is an ongoing project to use Google technology and programs to develop forms and procedures to improve remote communication between members of our Special Education team about all phases of Special Education evaluations from start to finish for each individual student evaluation as these come up through using a Google forms process we call an Eval Planner. It allows members assigned to a student's specific evaluation team a way to communicate regarding their evaluation plans as well as documenting IEP eligibility outcomes and related data. Meg has also collaborated with myself as well as other members of our Special Education leadership team to develop other processes and procedures to improve our efficiency in completing evaluation and service documentation tasks which helped to free up our time and allow us to provide more Special Education services to our students. It has been pleasure to work with Meg on these projects over the years as well as collaborate on students’ IEP evaluations in order to improve and individualize their services. I believe that these would not have been easily accomplished without the combination of her intellect, education knowledge, and technical skills. Sincerely, Leslie A.
