Though being a UROC Scholar is a lifelong privilege, I was awarded with the summer fellowship in 2018 with the help of my faculty mentor: Dr. Katherine Steele Brokaw. My summer research project took me across California with Ph.D candidate William Wolfgang as we studied the nature of grassroots and semi-professional Shakespeare organizations. I was awarded a $3,500 grant from the Andrew W. Mellon foundation, and presented my work at the summer research symposium in August of 2019.
