HyTech Racing is an award-winning student-run organization at the Georgia Institute of Technology dedicated to furthering students' engineering experience through the rigorous design and development of Formula SAE electric vehicles. As a chassis engineer at HyTech Racing, my responsibilities were the following:• Design owner for electric hub motor cooling jacket. Optimized part geometry to maximize cooling and minimize pressure loss. Researched materials properties and coatings to create watertight part.• Utilized 3DEXPERIENCE CATIA to conduct Finite Element Analysis studies to calculate chassis torsional rigidity under various load cases• Re-designed various mounting strategies using first principle methodology and achieved up to 60% weight reduction when compared to previous car• Analyzed vehicle data using MATLAB Show less

TE Connectivity - Plymouth, is a biomed contract manufacturer for Edwards, Boston Scientific, Medtronic, and Abbott. As a Process Development Engineer, I was tasked to implement new processes that introduced degrees of automation that reduced cycle time, cut down labor costs, and improve throughput yield. During my internship, I was the project lead in implementing a 3-part equipment to automate a manual, bottleneck process. My responsibilities included: • Designed, optimized, and characterized three-part machine to automate manual process, reducing cycle time by 75%, incurring estimated annual savings of $250,000 in labor. • Characterized new manufacturing process by identifying process inputs and outputs. Implemented and documented testing procedure to achieve consistent results. Identified stable process window, achieving ≥ 95% yield within window. • Researched material properties to create casting pin with high thermal conductivity and expansion coefficient whilst immune to cyclic oxidation to further enhance yield within process window. Internship ended before hypothesis can be tested. • Utilized standard GD&T callouts to communicate Critical-To-Quality dimensions to machine shops. Show less

In my 3 month summer internship program, I joined the SuperFiber Manufacturing Team, responsible for manufacturing a new urology biomedical product. During my internship period, I had the opportunity to contribute in various stages of Problem Solving and Process Improvement projects, NCEP and CAPA instances and have been actively involved in the following projects: ➤Initiated DMAIC Six Sigma Project where I investigated and ruled out various causes attributed to product defects by collecting and analyzing raw data utilizing Minitab statistical tools. ➤Characterized bottleneck machine performance using ANOVA analysis, Pearson Correlation Coefficient Tests and pareto charts to identify areas for improvement. ➤Implemented containment action to obtain machine data for characterization ➤Saved 70% of cost in scrap reduction project by creating cross section models with Epoxy Resin to examine internal fiber structure. ➤Identified 5 nonconformance instances of factory workers and communicated with line leaders and trainers to ensure safe, consistent procedures are followed Show less
