Isra is a joy to work with. As a PM, he thinks strategically, combining strong data expertise with deep care for the users and how to best support a learning journey. You can always count on him to make data driven decisions and making the hard decisions to let go of what isn't working anymore. He takes this strength to the toughest questions we have to solve and finds a way to break them down into solveable chunks. Along the way, he builds strong relationships with and between his team members even across the distance of remote and async work, and he shows up to listen to their needs which helps form deep trust and care across the team. I've really enjoyed working and growing with Isra over the years, and look forward to see what else he creates in the world.

We believe the place where you're born shouldn't determine your opportunities in life.Microverse is an online school for remote software developers that doesn't charge students anything until they get hired. Students learn remotely and collaboratively with peers around the world, receive support from mentors and a team of professional coaches, and don't pay anything until they land life-changing jobs in software development. Thousands of people from more than 100 countries apply to join Microverse every month, and hundreds of employed alumni from Colombia to Nigeria are making 2-10x their previous salary working for companies like Microsoft, VMWare, Huawei, and Globant. We're on a mission to train and connect 1 million people with remote jobs by 2030. Adalab is a social company that empowers young women to reinvent themselves as software developers. Currently I have 2 roles: As technical training manager, I'm in charge of technical training (curriculum, course materials, teachers selection and coordination) and teaching methodology. As technology leader, I select, facilitate to the team and create technology-based tools that help scale the business processes: candidates selection, f2f training and students match with employers. I ideated, built and run an immersive code retreat for programmers in Madrid. The main pedagogic guidelines are open curriculum & project-based learning: the participants choose their learning objectives and collaborate in open source projects to achieve their goals. We help them find a meaningful job. I ideated, built and run an immersive code retreat for programmers in Madrid.
