The primary objective was to build an advisory services support team through national recruitment of middle and back office operational staff, whilst implementing a strategic plan to build a robust financial planning dealer group offering to attract top tier self employed Financial Planners. With reporting lines for the new Paraplanning, Advisory Services, Brokerage and Channel Co Ordination teams leading to me, I was nationally responsible and recognised for building the Australian Unity Financial Planning middle and back office operational team.Responsibilities also included facilitating and project managing a tender and due diligence project to partner with preferred service providers, such as, Investment Platforms, Research Houses and Share Trading Brokers. My role was then to integrate the service providers offering to the Financial Adviser network and dealer group staff within it.• Extensive interaction and communication with decision makers and divisional heads, Financial Planners, staff, technical, financial and business specialists and various external service providers• Provide ad hoc advice to Financial Planners, Staff & AUFP Management Team on systems & processes, support and other issues relevant to the AUFP business and contribute to the development and implementation of AUFP’s yearly strategic plan.• Manage AUFP relationships with key national business partners and integrate their service offering to PFS financial planning businesses• Manage the induction process of financial advisers to PFS & provide all new financial advisers and financial planning support staff with the initial and going practice training required to perform their job, and the skills & tools to develop within their position. • Develop, manage and host Professional Development Days in Victoria and New South Wales ensuring informative and educational sessions that are valuable to attendees.
