I assist the manager in daily and weekly tasks such as report making, data entry, stock take etc. When she is away, I take over her duties for the duration of absence.I supervise store staff and delegate duties. When necessary, I assist in hiring and training new staff, which is a tough but exciting task, especially during the Christmas season. We have daily targets of sales to reach which focuses us for a goal. We aim to interact with every browser to turn them into customer as well upselling to them, giving them more value for their money.I handle cash and use till everyday. I am also a trusted keyholder.

Providing a waiting service at various events and locations. These events are often corporate. While some were one-offs, like seasonal parties, there were venues that I worked in a number of times, such as Croke Park and Aviva Stadium. The duties are explained on the day, usually of a similiar nature but i had to be flexible and adjustable to figure out where what was so I could provide the best service. Some events had 300+ guests. As well as providing a good service, I strictly adhered to health and safety procedures.

This Tea Room was situated in Mount Jerome cemetery so the majority of clientele were mourners. This meant that behaviour with the customers was not the standard, upbeat kind but considerate and calm instead. This was not an issue for me as I am very good with all kinds of people. I had general supervisor duties as well as barista duties. I was a trusted keyholder and dealt with cash handling as well as using tills.Health and safety procedures were followed daily. Preparing in-flight meals for various airlines. This was a summer Job, from around April till October each year. In my first year I was mainly preparing Economy meals. My second year there had me in the cutlery section, which sounds like an odd area but each airline has specific requirements as to how they would like their cutlery presented. The 3rd year had me preparing meals for the Business Class of our various airlines. Each position had very specific outlines for presentations and all care had to be taken while distributing the foods as we had weight requirements to follow as well.Throughout my time there I also got to occasionally jump into the Tray Setting section.I found this whole experience very interesting as I love seeing and being involved in the 'behind the scenes' of projects. This was my first job and I am very grateful for how the very strict health and safety procedures have been implemented and are forever in the back of my mind. This allows me to notice any possible issues that may occur in other workplaces and avoid any accidents.
