To be honest, I was not disappointed when MLB went on strike that summer. Ironically, I later married an MLB player named Mike Simms, despite my lack of love for the game. Hands-on Production Assistant intern with CNN's Washington D.C. bureau. Assisted with World News with Reid Collins and Inside Politics with Bernard Shaw and Judy Woodruff. Included camera and editing work, daily running the teleprompter, and helping with research. One assignment took me to the Capitol Building where we were greeted by President Bill Clinton.
