Accepted the nomination of President’s Academic Innovation Fellow for the 2021 Fall Semester; this may extend into the Spring Semester as well. The goal of this select faculty group is to explore the frontiers of undergraduate academic degree program design, taking lessons learned from the past 19 months as well as other projections of the future of higher education. A more specific goal is a conceptual design, including specific course titles/descriptions, possible syllabi, modes of instruction, etc. that lead to undergraduate degrees. For example, three years with a novel mix of in-person, online, experiential courses, individual and team oriented work. Other concepts and features are also possible that we expect and encourage the fellows to consider. The degree topic to be considered is in Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Design. Show less
