Nienke van den Berg
During the set-up of the new Z-CERT organization, I was short-handed and needed someone who I could trust, who would be a quick learner, with a hand-on & no-nonsense work attitude. There was Ilse, who got recommended to me through my personal network. Throughout this interim assignment, Ilse has been taking full ownership of the very diverse responsibilities that I allocated onto her – from design of our HR processes to further development of our organizational structure. Ilse needed little guidance, has been creative in finding and presenting solutions to me, and has a pleasant & natural way of interacting with colleagues and external parties (i.e. important stakeholders). Not only were Ilse’s tasks executed above expectations, she also brought a cheerful atmosphere into our office on a daily basis with her enthusiasm and engaging way of building relationships. In my former position I worked with Ilse on a regular base, as she was Point of Contact with Airinc for the Dutch Ministry of Defence. Ilse provided us not only periodically with data for our allowances for the military and civil servants woking abroad for our Armed Forces, she is also really an expert when it comes to analysing en developing statistical data for global mobility. Together we were able to review our methodology and make important changes in our allowances, in close coordination with our unions. Ilse has always been extremely helpful and patient in analysing, explaining and advising on the complex matter of data for global mobility. She facilitated conference calls with the American branch of Airinc and she even briefed our unions, a very demanding audience, about the methodology. It was always a great pleasure working with Ilse. Her expertise and pro-activeness are highly appreciated.
