For this project, Paul moderated seven focus groups at universities in five different countries. My co-founder John Sloan and I created charity Refugee Support Europe in 2016 because governments were failing refugees entering Europe. Since then we have set up and run innovative support systems for people on the Greece, Bangladesh, Mexico. Cyprus and Moldova. In that time over 1500 volunteers from over 40 nations have come to help and offer solidarity to over 50,000 people who have lost everything. We now run Dignity Centres in Moldova and Cyprus serving many hundreds of people every week. At the heart of each Centre is a pioneering points based system for distributing essentials that offers dignity, normality and agency.
