My association with him began in 2016 where I was his project guide for various projects undertaken during his two-year Master’s degree program. From my personal experience, I can very well certify that he has an excellent character with an appeasing conduct. His pleasant disposition helps him to maintain an easy rapport with everyone. He is highly motivated, eager for knowledge and is always on the lookout to learn something new. It is his strong passion of doing research in aerospace technology, which had inspired him to pursue his Master’s degree in Aerospace engineering with specialization in unmanned aerial vehicles. Cris’s willingness to learn and acquire knowledge and experience are strengths that I see only in the best of students. As per my observation, I have seen him being attentive and taking initiatives during class or other activities. He also showed his excellence by completing a University funded project titled ‘Assist in Strategic Planning and Immediate Response’ under my guidance. In this project, his team had built a quadcopter drone which helps in reducing the time taken for response action during an emergency and for further rescue operations. He has a strong passion and a research-oriented mind. Cris always showed great enthusiasm in participating various workshops, technical and cultural fests at different levels. His skills in aero modelling and UAV design was shown during a workshop conducted by the Aeroclub under Department of Aerospace in his University. He has also served as Chief Advisor to Aeroclub for a period of six months. I always found him calm and helpful to his peers while doing lab activities. His learning interest is revealed by his involvement in latest technologies in the field of Unmanned Systems. Suffice to say, Cris Thomas has incorporated all the right aptitude to flourish in a rigorous study program. Having witnessed his well-demonstrated capabilities and accomplishments, I am wholly confident that he will undoubtedly continue to progress and excel.
