I had the pleasure of working with Joshua at Bioware where he proved himself one of the most dedicated workers and fastest learners I have ever directed. Working as a fixed QA resource for the server team Josh was responsible for the testing and administration of internal server processes and performing tasks that involved: Linux scripting, Linux server administration, reading and understanding log files, examining core files, writing and editing scripts (HSL and python), editing configs (xml), pausing or killing processes, writing test plans, executing test plans, diagnosing failures, writing detailed bugs, verifying 'claim-fixed' bugs, deploying builds, and performing technical support for other QA teams. He regularly went above and beyond and required very little direction in day-to-day work, always taking tasks from the queue and quickly working with any critical tasks that arose through the day. I helped launch "Star Wars: The Old Republic", a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), and saw it through to its first and second expansions. I provided dedicated quality assurance (QA) for the Server team, as well as server QA support for all teams. Tasks included, but not limited to, writing feature documentation, performing Build Verification Tests, executing test plans for major features, developing training material, bug documentation and verifying bug fixes. I co-managed a $1 million renovation of a 19th century farmhouse in Sagaponack, NY. I provided design ideas and construction drawings, as well as on-site project management. I adhered to the client's requirements for a spacious layout maintaining uninterrupted sightlines to the outdoors, while accommodating their entertaining lifestyle. Amenities included a 50 ft lap pool, the extension of a wraparound porch, a new full-height basement, 2 rebuilt fireplaces, a structurally redesigned vaulted 3rd floor, and a new continuous winding staircase from basement to 3rd floor.
