Bio
Doug Ikeler
Mark and I worked together on Open Season and Arthur Christmas while at Imageworks. Mark worked as the Hair/Cloth supervisor for me on both films. I really enjoyed working with Mark as he has a very positive attitude and is a good communicator. I always felt that Mark had his finger on the pulse of his department and was attentive to it's contribution to the film. Whenever asked to go above and beyond to make his simulations the best they could be, Mark's team delivered the goods. He also demonstrated professionalism and patience when asked to take short cuts in hair/cloth when other areas needed the attention. This is something I have found that not all Supervisors handle well, but Mark did it with grace. I would work with Mark again in a heartbeat. I say this because I know he would deliver top quality work, we would make it happen on budget and we would have a good time doing it. I hope I grab him before you do, Doug Ikeler VFX Supervisor

Mark is one of the nicest and easiest guys I've ever worked with. But don't let that fool you; he's also an accomplished technician and artist. Mark knows how to get stuff done, whether it's doing shot or setup work himself, managing others or both. He's an efficient and well-liked manager who treats all as he would like to be treated. I've never worked directly under Mark, however I have heard from many others about his considerable management skills. Everybody wants to work for him. I've also found him to be a great collaborator, as a fellow TD, when we were working together on shows. His helpful and kind nature, along with his ability to see the forest for the trees in getting stuff done, is what has propelled him to this position he has at Sony today. And well-deserved it is. I would gladly welcome the opportunity to work with him in the future -- as a manager or fellow artist.
