  I participate in a multidisciplinary team focused on studies and projects on water planning under the Water Framework Directive. My main activities are focused on surface waters (characterization, pressures and impacts, status assessment, environmental objectives, etc.), protected areas, programmes of measures, public participation, environmental assessment and reporting to EC, in addition to the assessment of environmental flows in rivers and wetland water requirements. I have also been involved in supporting works for the European Commission to define the strategy for water scarcity and droughts and ecological flows under various contracts. As Project Manager I have been responsible for the elaboration of a support guide for environmental assessment and proposal of corrective measures for construction of crossing infrastructure under watercourses for the Spanish Ministry of Environment.
