Shridatt was a master student whom I have advised together with my colleague Predrag. He worked on probability models and online detection schemes. I was impressed with his written and oral communication skills and his ease of articulation of difficult mathematical concepts to general audiences. He is a real scientist with inquisitive mind and enthusiasm to investigate new subjects. He approaches all problems with mathematical rigor. His technical mastery of linux and simulations was instrumental in solving many problems.

In the 10+ years I've worked with Shridatt, the thing I noted most about him is his grit and determination. He comes from a pure math background, but that in no was impaired his ability to fill the shoes of an engineer. In contrast it actually made him stronger and gave him some unconventional insights into our research. His skills in Linux, TCP/IP, and OOP programming were an asset to my team. His analytical skills and problem solving abilities helped us tackle cutting edge problems ranging from large scale Testbed orchestration to SDN network deployment.
