With a team of 11 people, I surveyed invertebrate and plant diversity, plant aboveground biomass, plant traits and soil conditions for an international collaborative project, the Bug-Network. This entailed equipment preparation, sample collection in the field following a precise protocol and sample sorting in laboratory conditions to identify invertebrate and plant species. Worked with the Centre for Environmental Policy (CEP) for 6 weeks as part of the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) supervised by Dr. Morena Mills.I analysed survey data from farmers in the Atlantic forest (Brazil) and successfully identified the drivers of forest restoration in the area.

Hall Senior (Falmouth and Keogh halls)

With a team of 8 Hall Seniors, I designed, planned and hosted events during the freshers week and on a weekly basis during the year to welcome over 200 first-year students and provide them with opportunities to socialise. This required clear communication with the students and hall staff as well as with outside parties such as restaurants and venues. I also was a mentor for the students whom I shared a floor with. Finally, I managed the halls' budget (+5000£) as Treasurer.
