I have been an educator with the Anne Arundel County Public School System for over 8 years. I have experience teaching 6th and 7th grade Language Arts at two locations - Meade Middle and Crofton Middle. I've had a lot of opportunity to grow as an educator and a professional, and to accrue several leadership opportunities. I currently serve as an Interdisciplinary Team Leader, the Beginning Teacher Liaison for my school, and the 6th Grade Language Arts Advisory Teacher. I am a member of the School Improvement Team and the Wellness Committee; in the past I have served as a member of the AVID Committee, PBIS, Technology Committee, and the Student Advisory Team (developing the advisory curriculum and schedule for our school). I was chosen to pilot an Advanced Learner Program at Crofton Middle School, and write proposals for iPad integrated lessons while at Meade Middle. I have earned my Advanced Professional Certificate from the state of Maryland and have participated in over 300 hours of professional development coursework and graduate courses.
