Despite the fundamental similarities they share, boxing and mixed martial arts (MMA) fans typically express strong distaste for each other. The Bad Promoter was created to help bridge the gap between the combative fanbases through a wordpress-managed site, social media handles, and a solo-produced podcast that is featured on Spotify and has a global following in 15 countries. My love for combat sports stems from my fascination with the politics of boxing. The conflicting relationships between promoters, networks and fighters cause negative ramifications that are compounded by the rise of MMA brands like the UFC.
