My growth within KING 5 is significantly in part to Jesse Wilson. Two years ago, while I was interning at KING 5, Jesse took me under his wing and personally helped me become the salesperson I am today. As a new seller and new into the media world, I have learned that experience in the field can be the difference between a good client relationship and an excellent one. Whenever I need honest feedback or suggestions, I turn to Jesse for guidance. For example, when I have a large presentation coming up, I always ask Jesse if he will role-play the meeting out with me. Additionally, when it comes to TV schedules, he always gives my plans a second look over to make sure they will be truly beneficial to my clients. Additionally, Jesse always makes sure to remind me to connect back to the ‘why.’ These moments of mentorship have been the key to my success in the field. He always leaves me with a challenge to grow. One example of this is when he challenged me too always circle back to the client’s needs when presenting. I now instinctually think about how to make meetings more personable. He treats everyone with respect and has the mantra of one team one goal. For instance, when there are big wins on the team, he is always the first person to give kudos and be happy for other’s success. He is a leader in every sense of the word paired with the unique ability to listen and understand others truly. Jesse is influential because of his patience; he often is the last to speak. Some might be curious as to why? Jesse first listens to you to make sure your issues are addressed before giving his opinion. This has earned him the respect of our team throughout various levels of leadership. Lastly, Jesse always makes everything approachable, easy, and fun. It can be challenging to relate to new sellers, and sometimes coaches are so far away from a beginner’s perspective; they don’t know how to make it simple. One of Jesse’s most vital skills is breaking the process down in a comprehendible and approachable way. Jesse will make sure you walk away more confident and prepared than when you started. It is because of his mentorship and training; I have the confidence to build strong, lasting relationships with my clients. Always think.. WWJWD,

My company has worked and collaborated with Jesse for many years. It has always been a pleasure. Jesse is a problem solver and great collaborator. He sees challenges as opportunities and has a very positive outlook. His ability to explain and guide our joint clients to see the bigger picture, and then work jointly to execute specific strategic plans is admirable.
