At the Norwegian International School I have served as K1 class teacher (3 and 4 year –olds) aided by a teaching assistant. The class size varies from 14 – 18 students at any given time. My role within the school has changed over the past 6 years, and within that time I have taken on many roles such as class teacher, playgroup teacher, part- time administrator as well as IT, playgroup and kindergarten coordinator. The Norwegian International School runs a curriculum called the International Primary Curriculum, which in many ways is similar to Te Whāriki. Its teaching style is a blend of the many cultures it represents. Show less
