$50 million for student success is a lot of money! So honored to work with a fabulous board and provide funding for innovative new programs that make education more equitable, offer opportunity to all, encurage economic development, and propell WCC as a learder in its field.

I am proud and honored to continue my service at the College, under a new dynamic President, in a greater capacity. In this new position, I am the senior development officer for the WCC Foundation. I am directly responsible for a $50 million campaign focused on student success. My work invovles aligning College strategic priorities with major opportunities for funding by cultivating and stewarding top donors and prospects.

When I told Artistic Director Christopher Beach that we could be "Lincoln Center North," he believed me. Together, we built a new Foundation Board, expanded the program, raised close to $1 million annually, completed a $3.5 million "face lift" of the theatres, produced major galas, and secured a 6-figure multi-year sponsorship from MasterCard. I was privileged to work closely with American legends Phillip Glass, Otto Luening, Tania Leon, and Bob Beaser (among others) to raise funds in support of commissions, recordings, and performances of music by living American composers. My grant application to the USIA to create Sonidos de las Americas was praised as one of the finest proposal submissions the agency had ever funded, and the NEA agreed by awarding a challenge grant for the program. We had to take the glass doors off of Avery Fisher Hall in order to get the Mercedes in the lobby, but it was a $900,000 sponsorship! We had to take the glass doors off of Avery Fisher Hall in order to get the Mercedes in the lobby, but it was a $900,000 sponsorship!
