Level 4 Fieldwork- Acute Rehab Facility Implemented functional recovery treatments in a neurologic rehab unit with cases primarily traumatic brain injury, cerebral vascular accident, spinal cord injury. Utilized state of the art technologies for gait retraining including EKSO bionics, body weight supported treadmill and FES bike. I became proficient with the McKenzie Method in treating orthopaedic pathologies as well as refined in spinal mobilization and manipulation techniques. I was also able to work in Aquatic therapy with some patients whose needs were more appropriately addressed in the pool. Level 1 Fieldwork - Outpatient settingMy first clinical experience gave me the opportunity to develop my patient interaction skills, time management as well as learning evaluations and treatment progressions. My time was split between two clinics, the second of which was under the supervision of a Certified Balance and Vestibular Specialist. Here I familiarized myself with NeuroCom technologies for balance evaluation and retraining in post concussive patient population.
