I was brought on board both to fill a newly created full-time position, as well as to help redefine the company's aesthetic to add warmth to their brand. Working closely with the owners and CEO, I helped to create a warmer palette as well as a more inviting tone to the communications. Their satisfaction with this lead to giving me significantly more responsibilities, including organizing and managing multiple photo shoots to promote their products and brand style. I was responsible for the creation and updating of a catering brochure, all flyers, foam board signs, custom menu boards for each of their 6 cafes, catering labels, and the redesign of their description cards. I maintained all web and social media graphics, eventually being given the responsibility of updating their Wordpress powered website. I worked directly with local printers to have all deliverables produced to specifications. Time schedules were frequently short, but items were juggled according to deadlines, and met accordingly.

I was responsible for designing flyers, multi-page brochures, Offering Memorandums (OMs), Broker Opinions of Value (BOVs), and many other spiral bound presentations for this small branch of Newmark. Frequently photo retouching was required to help craft the atmosphere of a property when creating many multi-page brochures and Offering Memorandums, with design features ranging from very edge-y and contemporary to minimalist. These would cover the entire breadth of important facts about the properties. Clarity and easy of access were the most important features of these brochures, so layout was thumb-nailed and confirmed by the agent before too much time was spent creating the large documents for print. In addition to print and digital flyer and brochure design, it was my responsibility to create and maintain email blasts to the specifications of the brokers. Everyone has their taste, and it was my job to help the brokers define and implement theirs.

All in-store marketing was my responsibility. I was to plan and implement any signs, banners, posters, fliers, coupons, and decor items the store requested. I frequently made foam mounted display signs in excess of 4 feet by 3 feet, custom into custom shapes and often made of multiple layers to simulate a low relief. Large format prints were done on 12-color wide-format inkjet printer by Cannon. Maintenance, quality control, and troubleshooting were my responsibility. After 6 months I received due to my productivity, diligence, and positive attitude. In addition the above, it was my responsibility to insure all departments had, in-hand and then on the shelves, the most current pricing signs and tags, and sale promotions. This job was done entirely on a n iMac Pro, running virtual box to emulate Windows when required.

I managed all clients' creative requests. This included helping clients develop their vision as well as help them to stay inside their budget. This could be as simple as the creation of gum-paste decorations to adorn cupcakes, or as extravagant as the design of their wedding cake. I would including iterative sketches and phone conversations to help refine their idea. Business cards, marketing collateral, and all computer maintenance requests were also my purview. Aside from my creative direction, I would help with daily tasks to maintain the business. No job was too small or too large. I would help wherever I was needed.
