As executive director since January 2013 I am responsible for program coordination, organizational development, fundraising and budget, supervising staff and volunteers, strategic planning and communications for Massachusetts Peace Action, a statewide grassroots multi-issue peace organization, and Massachusetts Peace Action Education Fund, a nonprofit that does educational work on peace issues. .I was state co-coordinator for the Budget for All nonbinding question in 2013 that passed in 91 Massachusetts cities and towns by a 3 to 1 margin and called on Congress to stop the cutbacks to programs we depend on, invest in jobs, tax high incomes and corporations, bring the troops home and reduce military spending.As communications director from July 2010 to January 2013 I was responsible for online and print communications and membership development, and assist with organization and program development, for a small nonprofit.
