      Landmark College is a two-year undergraduate institution that is specifically for students that have various types of learning disabilities, ADD/ADHD and autism spectrum disorders. As director of Educational Technology Services I plan for and guide the use of technology in the teaching and learning process at the College. A major focus of this position is concentration on assistive technologies, their use by students and faculty, and the integration of these and other technologies into the College’s curricula. Other major initiatives that I am involved with include: the technical and training aspects of the College’s participation in the Liberated Learning Consortium (speech-to-text machine transcription); planning for and creating “smart classrooms” on Landmark's Campus, and training faculty to use them; overseeing the operation of the Educational Technology Support Center evenings; and overseeing Digital Text Services. I supervise two full-time staff members and work study students, serve on various committees and with groups that plan for the appropriate and effective use of technologies for teaching and learning.       Founded in 1932 as the Experiment in International Living, World Learning promotes international and intercultural understanding throughout its many programs and locations around the globe. The School for International Training is the accredited college of World Learning, and its non-traditional approach to education emphasizes experiential learning in its two graduate, its semester abroad, and short-term programs. In this position, I provided support for all academic computing and media services activities on campus including: Internet usage, policies and administration; front-end administration for the Web, online conferencing; online course tools (Blackboard and Moodle), and filesharing. I supervised a staff of technical and student assistants; was responsible for planning and implementing the department’s budget; and I directed the use of the Multimedia Learning Center. I was a member of the organization’s WebTeam, co-chair of the Library and Educational Technology Advisory Board, and sat on the Graduate Council.
