PSAPs and Control Centers: Are they really that different? With the globalization of the Public Safety market, the US has heard the term "Control Center" more frequently and, conversely, the global market now uses the term "PSAP" regularly. 5 years ago the term Control Center was widely see as non-applicable in the US, and the same was said overseas regarding PSAPs. Today, we find the two on parallel paths or merged.
