During Jatinder's time as a trainee within my department, I was particularly impressed with how quickly he could gasp the concepts of niche engineering situations and correctly analogise them to the engineering principles he was learning at university. He showed a strong ability to learn new tools and programming skills and was able to leverage those skills quickly and at a high level. He integrated well within a cross functional, multinational team and was always eager to assist and learn.

Jatinder was an intern at LM Wind Power in the blade test engineering department, where he developed a VBA based tool for blade static test set-up. As a blade test engineer, i am quite impressed with Jatinder's work. The tool feels very intuitive to use, and computational time for the test set-up processes is considerably shorter than the previous version of it. Due to his development of an improved version of this tool, Jatinder became well acquainted with the process of wind turbine blade static testing, blade testing equipment, and loads on wind turbine blades. Jatinder also displays good communication skills, as it was seen during the meetings for software development and updates sharing sessions.

      - Worked on CFD Simulation of an ESP air purifier in OpenFOAM to investigate the flow physics and the electrostatics.- Performed various tasks related to simulations : 1. Turbulent flows in porous media 2. Modified OpenFOAM solver to simulate corona discharge. 3. Implementing a new class of cloud in OpenFOAM to incorporate particle charging. 4. Lagrangian tracking of pollutants inside the purifier

The testing of a wind turbine blade is very important for determining the ability of the blade to withstand the loads as per standard requirements. My job was to improve the tool for full-scale static tests. I majorly worked with Excel & Excel VBA. Full-Scale Tests are conducted at LM Wind Power’s Test Centre in Lunderskov (Denmark) in Europe.
