Octama hired me fresh out of college and had an immense impact on my career and the professional I am today. He allowed me the freedom to make my own mistakes, but was always there to answer questions and explain things when I needed him to. My first experience having direct reports was while I reported to him and I leaned on him heavily while I learned how to manage a team. He taught me how to get results from a team while encouraging and supporting them. Although we haven’t worked together in years, I have always said he is the one person that could call me with an offer and I would gladly come work for him again. I’ll always be grateful for his mentorship.

At Mediacom, Octama was my Sr. Manager of Business Operations. Octama excelled in this role, helping the region achieve one of the highest levels of warehouse inventory accuracy in the company, along with creating best practices in his accounting department. Octama's work ethic is one of integrity and professionalism and was a great role model to his employees. Octama also possesses analytical skills to diagnose problems and devise viable solutions. His ability to remain calm during frenzied periods such as budget/reviews has proven his ability to work well under pressure. It was an honor to work with Octama. He would be an asset to any organization.
