It was a pleasure to teach Andrew at Liverpool Community College. He took on tasks with little supervision but wasn't afraid to ask for help if he needed it. Andrew was confident with the software and enjoyed tasks that required a more technical knowledge.

Billy Kershaw

I found Andrew to be a hard working person who takes a pride in what he does and always strives to do his best. He is willing to learn and has good development capabilities in Flash and Web tools as well as being a well organised and enthusiastic project co-ordinator. I feel he would be an asset in any organisation.

My position at More Th>n was ‘Customer Manager’ and the primary responsibility of this role was to represent the company as its first line of communication. I dealt with customer’s car insurance policies, editing policies, verifying accounting information etc. I would be the point of contact and the one to make the changes if a customer needed anything doing to their insurance policy.I took my previous call centre experience into this role with me. I worked exceedingly hard in this position. I continuously exceeded my targets, boasted excellent levels of customer service and provided outstanding service to every customer I spoke to. I was given the task to check on some my team’s targets and help where I could (a task that was above my job role); I would send daily emails with regards to team targets that included helpful information and encouraging words. My name has appeared in company bulletins due to some of the cases I dealt with and I was personally well known around the centre as extremely helpful and a great morale booster.I enjoyed this position and excelled in all aspects, however as my colleagues and I were taken on with part-time temporary contracts, the company no longer needed our services and let us go. I gained a lot of team based skills in this role. I came to understand what responsibilities a team leader must fulfil and extending my helpful nature even more than before this role has helped me grow.

    • Project Coordinator
      • Mar 2011 - Aug 2011

Working as an IT Project Coordinator I assisted the project managers with the day to day running of projects and attended client meetings. My role in these meetings was to take minutes and ensure action points were followed up. I would administer the project office and was responsible for ensuring all project governance was adhered to and the distribution of project documentation to all project stakeholders. I was responsible for liaising with suppliers, obtaining quotes, cross-checking deliveries with corresponding orders. I was responsible for ensuring all financial spreadsheets are up-to-date and the latest versions of all project documentation are easily accessible. I would also create any new templates as requested and distribute any updated documents and lessons learned logs. I would liaise with project managers requesting updates for highlight reports and issues and risk logs. I was considered the main focal point for all projects and would often provide historic information upon request. Along with my administrative duties I also developed web pages for displaying important and up-to-date information and interactive flash presentations for meetings and information references.

Working in a high paced, high standard environment has been a great use of the skills in cleaning and product management that I have gained through previous employment. I was responsible for ensuring my designated area of the building was kept to a high standard and any confidential waste that needed to be disposed of was done in a secure manner. I was to use the customer service experience I had gained over the years to do door-to-door charity work. I was responsible for raising awareness and funding for the charity 'Barnardos'. This was accomplished via door-to-door liaison. This role helped to improve my communication and interaction with customers as well as a persistent attitude towards getting more sponsors for the charity. My role as a Customer Service Advisor put me as first line of contact with customers. It was my job to ensure that customer's queries and issues got resolved as quickly and efficiently as possible. Whilst handling the customer's issues I still made sure I maintained a rapport with them. I regularly achieved my sales goals whilst still meeting my customer Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This was a stressful environment dealing with irate and unhappy customers whilst maintaining a cheerful and polite manner.Whilst in this role I dealt with company-wide software upgrades and internal changes to the way we dealt with customers. This was not a problem for me as I picked up the new systems very easily ensuring that my KPIs were still high. Not all of my colleagues picked up the changes as smoothly as I did, but I was happy to help them to ensure they could help their customer in the best possible way.

Working in a temporary capacity for Subway during the Christmas period as a Sandwich Artist. I used the skills I had gained in McDonalds to perform the various roles I had, which included dealing directly with customers, restocking, handling and preparing food. I had to ensure I made exactly what the customer wanted with their sandwich resulting in excellent communication skills. I worked nights in a popular area and had to diffuse some aggressive situations between customers. Working in a temporary capacity for Subway during the Christmas period as a Sandwich Artist. In my role as a Crew Member it was my responsibility to ensure that food and beverages are presented to the customer in a timely manner. My responsibilities had me handling the till to ensure I was taking the right tender and giving out the correct change, I needed to get the customers food in a presentable manner whilst working to a very tight deadline.I needed to make sure health and safety standards in my area were kept to a high standard, especially when working with the cooking equipment. Some customers would get irate due to their order being incorrect or by themselves being intoxicated, I would deal with these customers in a calm and professional manner and try to get their issue resolved quickly. Working at McDonalds has been a great experience for me; I have learnt how to communicate with customers and take control on customer issues and problems. I have also learnt the importance of team work.
