I have been involved in several projects for Solid State Power control modules. These Solid State Power Controller (SSPC) Modules are microcontroller-based Solid State Relays designed to operate with minimal heatsink requirements. These modules have integrated current sensing with no derating over the full operating temperature range. These modules are the electronic equivalent to electromechanical circuit breakers with isolated control and status. I have been involved in several projects for Solid State Power control modules. As part of my PhD related research work at the Adaptive Control lab, I was involved in Adaptive control of aircraft with synthetic jet actuators and morphing actuators using numerical simulations wherein I solved nonlinear dynamic equations. I developed an adaptive compensation scheme for controlling the aerodynamic flow of synthetic jet actuator arrays on a nonlinear aircraft dynamic system. A nonlinear state feedback control law is designed for controlling the aircraft dynamics, wherein a set of intermediate states are used as control signals for other states of the aircraft dynamic system. I was also actively involved in writing grant proposals in these areas which enhanced my skills in incepting, proposing and developing new ideas of research. Show less
