I worked in the Stormwater Management Department to study and develop Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) throughout the City of Raleigh. My main accomplishments were: 1. Creating an online tour of GSI in Raleigh- I created an interactive map/tour of GSI using arcGIS software. This map displays locations of GSI and information regarding details of each project. This map can be found here: https://raleighgeohub.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=cf39da98136644b9a53c2e3084cd5ed0 2. Tracking GSI incorporation in City-led projects- I researched and studied how the City currently tracks GSI incorporation and completion, and developed a written proposal discussing suggested methods of GSI tracking. I researched the use of a software called e-Builder, and proposed creating a streamlined process to standardize data collection and usage across departments. 3. Researched how to incorporate equity and inclusion in Water Quality Capital Improvement Projects- I produced a written report describing my research about equity as well as advice and recommendations from the professionals I met with, finding ways to include equity in Water Quality art projects, amenities, and community outreach. 4. Proposed a citizen-based visual monitoring program for GSI projects- I created a design for a sign or structure explaining how citizens can take pictures of a GSI project and upload them to the social media, which then would be added to the tour or project webpage. This allows citizens to catalogue how these projects have developed over time.
